Ready or Not, Digitize Me

The House of Representatives put the kibosh on a proposed bit of legislation that would have delayed the transition to digital TV from the February 17th deadline to June 12th. That means the digital TV transition is on schedule to happen in just a few weeks.
The reason given for the bill to extend the deadline was that there are still millions of Americans who aren't prepared for the transition. That is, they've got analog TVs picking up broadcast signals on antennas, and they don't yet have a digital-to-analog converter box.
To make matters even more complicated, the Commerce department hit a budget snag when it ran out of funds for the $40 converter box coupons it's been issuing. So now there are people out there who've applied for the coupon and who aren't getting it. And you know what that means for the low-income person who's depending on that coupon to maintain his God-given right to have "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives" come into his living room?...
Does anyone smell mid February litigation?
