Copyright Troll Gets a Legal Boost
By Richard Amada on Sep 23, 2010 | In Literary
The so-called copyright troll has won a court victory that will keep it trolling for unlawful infringements. A court has ruled that the Las Vegas company, Righthaven, has the right to buy the copyright to infringed stories of the Las Vegas Review-Journal and then pursue the infringers in court, even though Righthaven didn't own the copyright at the time of the alleged infringement.
According to reports, Righthaven has filed more than a hundred copyright infringement lawsuits so far.
