The End of an Era
By Richard Amada on Jun 12, 2009 | In Cinema, TV, Radio
Ready or not, the age of analog TV is over, and the time for DTV has arrived. Congress mandated that all broadcast television stations must convert from an analog to a digital signal by the end of June 12, 2009. That was an extension from the original conversion date that had been set for February of this year. The hope was that the extra time would give millions of TV viewers who weren't ready last winter to make the necesssary changes to their equipment to receive a digital signal.
